A - Yes. Please be aware though that all drivers are required to provide a damage deposit in the form of a credit/debit card authorization. While the authorization is not a charge on the credit/debit card, it does put a hold on those funds. The availability of those funds, if not charged against for any damages, tickets, impound costs, etc., will vary from bank to bank. The funds are generally released within 3-5 business days but is beyond the control of Altitude Dream Cars.
Please also remember that you authorize Altitude Dream Cars to charge the credit/debit card presented at the time of rental for any additional charges authorized by your Rental Agreement, including unpaid parking tickets, traffic violations, etc. according to the terms of your Rental Agreement. We may charge these amounts on your credit/debit card without obtaining any additional permission from you. Altitude Dream Cars assumes no responsibility for any bank charges or other charges incurred by you because of authorization holds blocking access to funds in the accounts associated with your credit/debit card or charges placed on the account as authorized by your Rental Agreement.
A - No, we do not accept walk-ins. You must contact us by phone and provide us with all of the necessary information in order to qualify. In addition, vehicle viewing is by appointment only.
A - We certainly do not want you to have a "poor" experience. However, we do offer a "rescheduling" process. The authorization amount will be applied to your rescheduled rental date. Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds for scheduled cars.
A - We prefer you set up the rental at least three business days in advance so that we may verify your insurance and make sure your vehicle is available, clean and ready. However, in general, same day rentals can not be guaranteed and will be made at the owners discretion.

You may ask, doesn't insurance take care of damage? The answer is yes & no. Insurance is primarily there for catastrophic situations, not incidental damage. We require that our vehicles are maintained to show room quality for every rental and if a door is dinged or wheel is scratched, to wait for a claim is difficult and may actually result in additional out-of-pocket costs to you as we will charge for lost revenue. With a damage deposit, you guarantee that the car will be returned as it was checked out.
A - Yes, premium gas is required. Our vehicles are "performance" vehicles and are finely tuned. Lower grade gas will cause tuning issues. So, we require anything above 91+ octane. Ethanol or E85 is also unacceptable.
A - Most may not be aware, but your personal insurance follows the driver on any vehicle they drive. Our fleet insurance is in place in case of a catastrophic event only. Your personal insurance covers you while you are behind the wheel of the car.
If you feel you do not meet the 100/300/100 minimum, contact your insurance agent and ask about placing short-term riders on your policy. Often times, it's a minimal charge.
A - It depends. If you have an SR rating through your insurance carrier, you will not qualify. If you have three or more tickets on your record in the last three years, you will not qualify. In the last five years if you have had a revoked license or any type of suspension, you will not qualify. If you have a DUI or DWI, you will not qualify. We run DMV reports for each renter.
A - If during the qualification process of pulling a DMV MVR and it's determined that a DUI or a DWI is on your record, then we will decline the rental and retain the $75 processing fee. If there is no DUI or DWI, but there are 3 serious moving violations, accidents or other serious issues on your MVR in the past 3 years, we will decline the rental.
A - This varies greatly depending on the vehicle. Fortunately, exotic and luxury vehicles age gracefully. We attempt to not have a vehicle older than 5 years in our fleet.
Currently, our cars are late model 2005 and 2006 series cars.
Our rule of thumb is to insure that our fleet is in great shape mechanically and usually under 50,000 miles before the vehicle's retirement. If you are interested in purchase of a vehicle, drop us a line.
A -All of our vehicles are newer models. There are no dents or scratches on ANY of our vehicles. We take pride in actually over-maintaining our vehicles so you get the freshest car possible.
